The Railway Station
All day parking ticket costs £8.
The Bus Station
minimum parking ticket is £1 for 1 hour.
Short term on-street Disc Zone Parking is allowed in many streets. Carefully check the Blue Sign located near the parking bay for permitted stay times and ensure you display a Clock disc.
Clock discs be obtained free of charge from shops in Penrith town centre that display a parking poster. Alternatively discs can be posted to you, prior to your visit, from the Penrith Tourist Information Centre telephone: 01768 867466 or
email: customer.services@eden.gov.uk.
Leave the Railway Station and turn left. Stay on the pavement. Walk to the Pedestrian Crossing just a few metres past the Bus Stop.
Safely cross the road at the Pedestrian Crossing and turn left.
Follow the pavement round to your right and down into town.
At the bottom of the hill you will see the Bandstand. Safely cross the road and head towards the Pedestrian Crossing opposite Barclays Bank.
Safely use the Pedestrian Crossing to get to the opposite pavement, turn left towards the cut between Barclays Bank and NatWest Bank and walk towards St Andrew’s Churchyard.
Turn right and walk along the pavement, keeping the churchyard to your left.
The Rooms can be seen to your right within approximately 100 yards.
Leave the bus station using the pedestrian cut-through onto Sandgate and cross the road using the crossing.
Continue through the cut into Burrowgate where you will see a SPAR shop.
Cross the road using the crossing and turn left – walking past the Spar and continuing until you see St Andrew’s Churchyard in front of you.
Turn right and walk up the pedestrian pavement until you see a walkthrough on your left. Cross the Churchyard and the Centre is immediately opposite the churchyard exit.
