Special Conditions of Hire if Covid-19 returns
Please note: These conditions are supplemental to, not a replacement for, the hall’s ordinary conditions of hire, and should be followed whilst restrictions remain in place. If all restrictions are lifted, Penrith Parish Centre Ltd reserve the right to continue some Covid safety practices if they are deemed appropriate.
SC1:
You, the hirer, will be responsible for ensuring those attending your activity or event comply with whatever the Government guidelines are at the time of your booking.
As restrictions are beginning to be lifted, and it is no longer a requirement to wear a face covering, you may still wish to encourage your attendees to wear a face covering in communal areas if they feel more comfortable doing so, and encourage the use of sanitiser regularly during your session and after using tissues.
SC2:
You undertake to comply with the actions identified in the hall’s risk assessment, of which you will be provided with a copy.
SC3:
Whilst restrictions are in place, you will be responsible for wiping over surfaces likely to be used during your period of hire before other members of your group arrive, using either the products supplied (which will be in a clearly accessible location) or your own ordinary domestic products. You will be required to wipe over touch points again on leaving.
Please take care cleaning electrical equipment. Use cloths – do not spray!
SC4:
Whilst restrictions are in place, you will make sure that everyone likely to attend your activity or event understands that they MUST NOT DO SO if they or anyone in their household has had COVID-19 symptoms in the last 48 hours, and they should follow the latest Government guidance for advice if needed.
SC5:
Whilst restrictions are in place, you will keep the premises well ventilated throughout your hire, opening windows periodically for an air change throughout your session. You will be responsible for ensuring opened windows are securely closed on leaving.
SC6:
You will ensure that you have informed the Office Manager of the nature of your booking and discussed the use of your room and the amount of attendees. This is to ensure you have booked the right sized room for your event, and to take into account any restrictions which may be in place at the time of your booking.
Whilst restrictions are in place, our booking form special hire conditions will remain in force.
SC7:
Whilst restrictions are in place, you will take particular care to ensure that social distancing is maintained for any persons aged 70 or over or likely to be clinically more vulnerable to COVID-19, including for example keeping a 2m distance around them when going in and out of rooms and ensuring they can access the toilets, kitchen or other confined areas without others being present. For some people, passing another person in a confined space is less risky, but for older people that should be avoided.
When all restrictions are dropped, you may consider keeping these points in mind when your attendees may be more vulnerable.
SC8:
Whilst restrictions are in place, you will position furniture or the arrangement of the room as far as possible to facilitate social distancing.
