The chairs in the hall are about 18 years old. Regular uses of the Centre will know that many chairs have broken frames and most of them have become badly stained.
Some months ago the Directors decided to try to find the funds to replace them. So over the last few months every effort was made to find the money for new chairs. Some of the money has come from savings and some from donations. We have to thank Penrith Town Council for their welcome contribution in the form of a grant.
The Directors are pleased to say that now our objective has been achieved. One hundred and twenty new chairs were delivered at the beginning of March.
